Comichaus is a small indie comic marketplace based out of the UK that launched in 2015. They have a ton of features for both creators and collectors. Among these services is a place to buy and sell comics as well as an app to read digital comics for a small subscription fee, and a way for indie creators to get their books out to readers through the site’s mobile app.
The marketplace has several features besides just a way to buy and sell comic books. They have a core database of comic titles so you can track what you have, mark copies you have for sale, and create a wishlist of books you need. Users can add missing issues to the database through a fairly simple submission form. The company takes a minuscule cut as a commission for the sale, unless you are the owner/creator of the book, then listing is free.
The app allows readers to read any book in the Comichaus library for a subscription of 3 GBP a month, or 30 a year. You can read them online, and download them to your device without apparent limit. On the flip-side creators can get their books on the app so that readers can access it. Comichaus shares 50% of subscription revenue and ad revenue based on how many times your book is read.
Recent releases on the Comichaus app includeTales from Beyond Infinity, Lizard Men #4, Dynamite Entertainments ‘The Complete Alice in Wonderland’, ‘The Light’ from Off Kilter Comics, Legendary Talespinners and the trade of Dynamite’s ‘The Black Bat’
